A new lawn is priced as preparation plus turf plus laying, with disposal of whatever was there before. Seed costs less up front and takes far longer; turf costs more and gives you a lawn immediately.
We do not publish a fixed price list for turfing, because ground preparation varies far more between gardens than the turf itself does. What we can do is explain what changes the number, so you know what to look at.

In materials, considerably. But preparation is identical and is the bulk of the cost, so the real-world saving is smaller than it looks — and seed takes months to become usable.
Water in the first weeks, mowing, feed twice a year, occasional scarifying and aerating, and reseeding worn areas. A lawn is the highest-maintenance surface in most gardens.
Rarely, compared with spending the same money on ground preparation. Ordinary turf on good ground outperforms good turf on poor ground.
Often poorly. Deep shade beats most lawns, and a shade planting or bark area is usually a better answer than repeated reseeding.

Sort the drainage before turfing rather than after. Laying turf onto permanently wet ground produces a lawn that never does well.
Turf is usable within a few weeks; seed takes months and needs protecting throughout.
